The psychedelic eye-candy that is the cinematography of “Anyone But You” is breathtakingly beautiful and makes you feel the heartbeat of Sydney, the city’s incredible landmarks, and palpitating life. The film is set in various operational scenes of a harbor and then travels further to engage viewers into the abundance of the city with special emphasis on the Opera House, a setting that is simply romantic by its naturein the movie “Anyone but you”.
Despite this fact, the movie “Anyone but you”.manages to keep the delivery of that message quite professional. What makes Bea’s transformative story more compelling is her self-discovery and pursuit of her desires. This new spin on the traditional rom-com protagonist is refreshing.
Socially, though, the movie had its hiccups such as carrying too much of the bags of slogans and climaxes that are not real or relatable. In some scenes you get a feeling that things are forced, and many of the subplots are left unfinished, which could have made them more fulfilling and consistent.
Nevertheless, “Anyone But You” still proved to be an entertaining one hour ride that was carried along by its charming protagonists and easily digestible plots. It is a jumptown for this moniker that will see a great evening or just date night at the cinema for its vibes good and catchy.
Ultimately, “Anyone But You” turns out to be a charming romantic comedy, where everything works as expected: the talented cast and the scenery are perfect for the expectations of an average viewer. Although “Anyone but you”. doesn’t have a revolutionary effect on the romance genre, the movie offers a different look at already worn-out stereotypes by emphasising the everlasting magical/enchanting power of love and the second chance in life.
